Vauxhall reveals Adam
The Vauxhall Adam goes on sale in the UK in January 2013 and Vauxhall hopes it will rival the MINI and Fiat 500 thanks to its vast array of personalisation options.
There will be more than one million different combinations for the Adam, which also features new styling that includes a ‘floating’ roof.
With a four-seat cabin, the Adam’s interior is as design-led as the exterior and will be available with internet-based apps through the car’s seven-inch touch screen display. A starlight roof made up from LED lights imbedded into the roof lining will also be an option.
Trim levels for the Adam will be called Jam, Glam and Slam, with Jam as the entry point and Glam and Slam offering what Vauxhall describes as elegance and sporty, respectively.
Engines for the Adam are taken care of by a 69bhp 1.2-litre petrol and a pair of 1.4s with 86- and 99bhp. Every Adam will come with ESP and Hill Start Assist as standard.
The Adam will be officially unveiled at the Paris motor show in September.
