Vauxhall GTC VXR technical spec revealed

Vauxhall has confirmed the technical specification for its GTC VXR that goes on sale in July. The car will come with 276bhp and the highest specific torque output of any car in its class at 148lb.ft per litre.

This much power from the 2.0-litre turbo engine allows the GTC VXR to see off 0-60mph in 5.9 seconds and reach a top speed electronically limited to 155mph.

The GTC VXR also comes with stop-start technology to offer 34.9mpg average economy and 189g/km carbon dioxide emissions.

To cope with the engine’s power, the GTC VXR also has Vauxhall’s HiPerStrut incorporated into the front suspension to eliminate torque steer and aid traction. There are also Brembo brakes and 19-inch alloy wheels as standard.
