Fiat extends 500 Abarth range

Fiat has added two new models to the 500 Abarth range with the Turismo and Competizione models that are based on the esseesse version of the existing Abarth.

With 160bhp for each of the new models, Fiat has also dropped the price of the standard Abarth by £500. The company says it believes customers who want the added performance of the esseesse kit will be more likely to choose the Turismo or Competizione for their improved standard specification.

The Turismo comes with reshaped front and rear bumpers, climate control, leather upholstery, 17-inch alloy wheels and dark-tinted rear glass.

Taking a sportier approach, the Competizione has cross-drilled front and rear brake discs and a Monza exhaust upgrade, as well as 17-inch alloy wheels and the same bumpers as the Turismo.

Prices for the Turismo start at £17,725 and £18,725 for the Competizione. Both are available with manual or automated gearboxes and each can be ordered as a hatch or Convertible.

The standard 500 Abarth now costs from £13,975.
